Paid surveys are surveys that you complete on the internet. You get paid for completing them.

Why would someone pay me to complete a survey?

Good question. Companies use surveys to do research for new product development and to assess demand for a potential product or service before launching it. It’s much cheaper to get feedback now rather than just launch a product and hope people will buy it.

These companies used to use call centres and focus groups, but since the internet became mainstream paid surveys have become more and more popular. Its cheaper for them to pay people to complete a survey, rather than having the overheads of staff in a call center for example, plus they get feedback more quickly because surveys can be completed in real time.

How much can I make?

You won’t be able to make a full-time living completing surveys unfortunately, unless you plan on doing then 24 hours a day. Although you might not be able to find enough surveys to complete if you did try to do it 24/7!

However even though its not going to make you rich it can be a good way to make some extra money each week. Rates for a survey depend on the length and the company, but they usually range from a couple of dollars and up to $40 or more for a longer, more complex paid survey.

How do I find companies that are offering paid surveys?

The best way is to join a Paid Survey website. These websites do the research for you and have complied lists of hundreds of research companies that offer these types of surveys. You usually pay a small fee to have access to their database and details of companies offering surveys and can the choose which surveys you want to do and which you don’t.
